A full clinical evaluation with objective psychometric testing, plus three months of follow-up care included. If medication is appropriate, that is three months of medication management. If it is not, or if the evaluation does not point to ADHD, you receive the full six-session coaching package instead.
You do not walk away from this evaluation with nothing.
Book My EvaluationSix individualized coaching sessions of roughly 45 minutes each, across three months. Built around what your first session reveals you actually need, rather than a fixed curriculum.
Available to anyone, anywhere, on any insurance or none. You do not need to be a Clarity Health patient, you do not need to live in Illinois, and the federal program restriction that applies to clinical care does not apply here.
Book My Coaching PackageCoaching services are provided by Thomas Stewart through Thrive in Healthcare Coaching, a business entity separate from Clarity Health PLLC. Coaching is not medical care and does not involve diagnosis or prescribing.
Before I found Clarity Health PLLC, I felt like I was constantly fighting my own brain. I struggled with focus, procrastination, unfinished projects, and overwhelming mental clutter. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't seem to "get it together," and it left me feeling frustrated and discouraged.
From my very first appointment, Tom made me feel understood. He listened without judgment and asked questions that helped connect dots I didn't even realize were there. When I was diagnosed with ADHD, it wasn't scary, it was freeing. For the first time, I had an explanation. I wasn't lazy. I wasn't incapable. My brain just works differently.
Starting medication under Tom's guidance has been truly life-changing. The constant mental noise quieted. I can focus. I can follow through. I can start and finish tasks without feeling paralyzed. Everyday responsibilities feel manageable instead of overwhelming. Even my relationships and confidence have improved because I'm not constantly battling myself anymore.
Tom's care, patience, and genuine investment in my well-being made all the difference. He doesn't just prescribe medication, he partners with you in your growth. Working with Clarity Health PLLC has been one of the most transformative decisions of my life, and I'm deeply grateful for the clarity, stability, and hope I now have moving forward.
If you have spent years feeling like your brain works differently from everyone else's, losing track of conversations, missing deadlines despite real effort, overwhelmed by tasks that seem easy for other people, you are not broken. You may have ADHD. And you deserve an actual answer.
You finally work up the courage to seek help, only to find psychiatrists with four to six month waitlists. Meanwhile your career, relationships, and self-esteem keep paying the cost.
You described your symptoms and heard "everyone feels that way sometimes" or "you did well in school, so it can't be ADHD." Adults with ADHD are routinely misread by providers without specific training in attention disorders.
Rushed through a superficial checklist. No time to explain the full picture. No real evaluation. No discussion of what treatment approach would actually fit your life.
One prescription, zero follow-up, no personalization. A stimulant handed over with no monitoring of how it is working, no dose optimization, and no discussion of what makes medication work better.
Years without answers leave you asking whether you are lazy, or not smart enough, or simply incapable of getting it together. That internal narrative is the most painful symptom of all, and it is treatable once you have the right diagnosis.
Pre-authorizations, surprise bills, and providers who are technically in-network but never actually available. You deserve to know what your care costs before you commit to it.
There is a wide gap in adult ADHD care. On one end are telehealth platforms that hand you a screening questionnaire and a prescription in twenty minutes. On the other are full neuropsychological batteries costing thousands of dollars and scheduled months out. Neither serves most adults well.
Clarity Health sits deliberately in between. Every evaluation includes objective, normed psychometric instruments alongside a genuine clinical conversation.
A computerized task that objectively measures sustained attention, impulsivity, and response consistency. It does not depend on how you remember your childhood or how you rate yourself today. It measures how your attention performs in real time, scored against normative data.
A validated measure of executive function across attention, emotion regulation, flexibility, initiation, organization, planning, self-monitoring, and working memory. This is where the day-to-day cost of ADHD actually shows up.
The current standard normed instrument for adult ADHD symptoms, used to place your experience against a comparison population rather than against a gut impression.
Instrument selection is determined at intake and depends on your age and presentation. Testing can be completed remotely from your own computer or in the Collinsville office. Your results are explained to you directly, in plain language, not mailed as a score report you have to decode alone.
Clarity Health PLLC focuses on one thing and does it thoroughly: adult ADHD. Evaluation, diagnosis, and ongoing management, supported by coaching for the parts of ADHD that medication does not reach.
A complete diagnostic evaluation combining clinical interview, objective computerized attention testing, and normed rating scales, followed by personalized ongoing care.
Provided by Thrive in Healthcare Coaching
Individualized coaching built around what you actually need, identified in your first session. Practical, structured work on the systems and habits that ADHD makes hard to build.
Coaching is provided by Thomas Stewart through Thrive in Healthcare Coaching, a business entity separate from Clarity Health PLLC. Coaching is not medical care, does not involve diagnosis or prescribing, and does not establish a provider-patient relationship. Same person, different service, different company.
For therapists, clinics, and providers who need objective ADHD testing for a client they will continue to manage themselves.
Fill out the form or call and text directly at 217-825-5267. Tell me what you are experiencing and what you are hoping for. Most appointments are scheduled within a week of the request. No phone trees. No "someone will call you back in five to ten business days." I know what it took for you to reach out.
Before or during your appointment you complete the psychometric battery, remotely from home or in the office. It takes under an hour. This is the part almost nobody else in the region includes, and it is the part that separates an educated guess from an evaluation.
An in-depth clinical interview covering symptoms, developmental history, work and academic functioning, relationships, prior treatment, and goals, integrated with your testing results. Screening for conditions that mimic or accompany ADHD is included. You leave with an explanation, not a pending status.
We build a plan together from the full picture. If medication is appropriate, that includes three months of medication management with active dose optimization rather than a year of guessing. If medication is not appropriate, or the evaluation points somewhere other than ADHD, you receive the full six-session coaching package instead. Either way you leave with a direction and the support to follow it.
This is the fear that keeps people from booking. You pay for an evaluation, you are told no, and you are left with a bill and no answers.
That is not how this works here.
If your evaluation does not support an ADHD diagnosis, or if it does but medication is not appropriate for you because of contraindications or your own preference, your evaluation includes the full six-session coaching package instead. You leave with objective testing results, a clear explanation of what is actually driving your symptoms, referral direction where it is warranted, and practical support to act on it.
I will never guarantee that you will receive a prescription. That would be unethical, and any provider who implies otherwise should worry you. What I will guarantee is that you receive real value from your evaluation regardless of its outcome.
The same applies to the appointment itself. If at any point during your evaluation you feel rushed, dismissed, or that your concerns are not being heard, say so. The appointment will be extended at no additional charge until you feel genuinely heard.
Clarity Health PLLC was founded on a simple belief: healthcare should be personal, thorough, and accessible. After years of watching patients fall through the cracks of a system built for throughput rather than understanding, waiting months for appointments, receiving rushed evaluations, treated as numbers rather than people, Thomas Stewart decided to build something different.
With more than 26 years in healthcare, most of it in emergency and critical care, he pairs rigorous clinical expertise with the time and attention every patient deserves.
Every patient, whether they walk through the door in Collinsville or connect from across the state, receives the same thing: a provider who listens carefully, evaluates thoroughly, explains clearly, and partners with you to reach real, measurable improvements in your health and your daily life.
These are not marketing talking points. They are the principles behind every patient interaction and every treatment decision here.
Your initial evaluation is 60 to 90 minutes, not because we are slow, but because a proper ADHD assessment takes that long. Follow-ups run as long as they need to. You will never be rushed out because the next patient is waiting.
ADHD is not a side interest here. It is the primary clinical focus. That means staying current on the research, understanding the nuances of adult presentation, and knowing how to distinguish ADHD from the conditions that mimic it: anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, thyroid dysfunction, and more.
Every assessment tool, every medication, and every recommendation is grounded in current scientific evidence. Treatment here draws on the work of Dr. Bill Dodson, including rapid titration, so it does not take a year to reach the right dose or to learn that a medication is not the right fit.
You see the same provider every time, someone who knows your history, your medications, your life context, and your goals. No repeating your story to a new face each visit. Continuity is not a luxury; it is how good healthcare works.
No surprise bills. No hidden fees. No "that's what insurance decided." You know exactly what your care costs before you commit to it, because financial uncertainty should never be the reason someone goes without help.
ADHD does not exist in a vacuum. Anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders are screened for and addressed rather than ignored. Where medication is not the whole answer, coaching is available to build the systems and habits medication alone never will.
Yes. Board-certified Nurse Practitioners hold advanced graduate degrees, complete extensive clinical training, and are licensed by the State of Illinois with full prescriptive authority, including all ADHD medications. In Illinois, NPs practice with full practice authority, meaning they diagnose, treat, and prescribe independently without physician oversight. Many patients find NP care more thorough and more attentive than what they have experienced elsewhere, because the training emphasizes the whole person rather than the diagnosis alone.
Your evaluation combines two things. First, objective psychometric testing: the Conners Continuous Performance Test (CPT-3), the Comprehensive Executive Function Inventory Adult Form (CEFI Adult), and the Conners Adult ADHD Rating Scales (CAARS-2). These can be completed remotely from home or in the office and take under an hour.
Second, a 60 to 90 minute clinical interview covering current symptoms, developmental history, academic and occupational functioning, relationships, emotional well-being, prior treatment, and your goals. Screening for commonly co-occurring conditions is included. Your testing results and clinical findings are integrated and explained to you directly, along with a personalized plan. There is no weeks-long wait for results.
Yes, and this matters enough to be specific about. A thorough evaluation frequently uncovers other explanations for the same symptoms: anxiety, depression, sleep disturbance, thyroid dysfunction, or other conditions that look like ADHD from the outside. You will leave with objective test results, a clear understanding of what is actually driving your symptoms, and a concrete plan.
If the evaluation does not support an ADHD diagnosis, the full six-session coaching package is included so you leave with practical support rather than a dead end.
Because it is a different service. Telehealth platforms typically screen you with a questionnaire and route you to a prescription. That approach produces a lot of missed diagnoses and a lot of wrong ones. A full neuropsychological evaluation, at the other extreme, runs into the thousands of dollars and often takes months to schedule.
This evaluation includes objective normed testing, an unhurried clinical interview with a provider who has full prescriptive authority, and three months of follow-up care, at a fraction of neuropsych pricing. You are paying for an evaluation you will not have to repeat.
Medication management is clinical care. It involves diagnosis, prescribing, monitoring, and dose optimization, and it is provided through Clarity Health PLLC to patients in Illinois.
Coaching is not clinical care. It is structured, practical work on goal setting, executive function systems, planning that accounts for how ADHD brains handle motivation, and building routines that hold up on difficult days. Coaching is provided through Thrive in Healthcare Coaching, a separate business entity. Many people benefit from both. Neither replaces the other.
No. Coaching is open to anyone, anywhere. You do not need an ADHD diagnosis from this clinic, you do not need to be an existing patient, and you do not need to live in Illinois. Because coaching is not medical care, it is not restricted by state licensure the way clinical services are.
Yes. The psychometric instruments used here are validated for remote administration and can be completed from your own computer at home. Some people prefer to test in the Collinsville office, and that option is available. Neither approach changes the quality of the results.
Clarity Health operates on a transparent, direct-pay model. You pay directly at the time of service at clearly posted rates, with no insurance billing surprises, no pre-authorization delays, and no insurance company deciding what care you can receive. A superbill can be provided for you to submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
There is one important exception, covered in the next question.
No, and I want to be direct about it rather than have you find out after booking. Clarity Health PLLC cannot provide healthcare services to individuals whose coverage is through a federal healthcare program. That includes Medicare, Medicare Advantage and other Medicare replacement plans, Medicaid, Medicaid managed care and Medicaid HMO plans, TRICARE, CHIP, and VA coverage.
This is a credentialing restriction rather than a choice about billing. It applies even if you would rather pay out of pocket, and it cannot be waived by signing a form or a private agreement.
Coaching is a different matter entirely. ADHD coaching is not a healthcare service, is never billed to any insurer, and is provided through Thrive in Healthcare Coaching as a separate entity. It is available to anyone regardless of insurance coverage or lack of it, including everyone listed above, and regardless of what state you live in.
So if a federal program is your coverage and you were hoping for clinical care here, coaching remains fully open to you. Reach out either way and I will also point you toward clinical providers in the area who can see you.
That concern is valid and shared by many patients here. Medication is never the automatic or only answer. The approach may include medication, behavioral strategies, lifestyle changes, organizational systems, coaching, and referrals for therapy where appropriate.
If medication is part of your plan, the options are discussed thoroughly: how they work, expected benefits, potential side effects, and alternatives. Starting medication is always a collaborative decision, and you remain the primary decision-maker in your own treatment.
Yes. Secure telehealth appointments are available to patients throughout Illinois, whether you are in Chicago, rural southern Illinois, or anywhere in between. Telehealth covers initial evaluations, follow-ups, and medication management. All you need is a stable connection and a private space. Coaching is available by video anywhere in the country.
Absolutely, and many patients here are adults seeking their first evaluation. ADHD commonly goes undiagnosed into adulthood, particularly among women and among people who performed well academically despite significant struggle. You do not need a referral, a prior diagnosis, or any documentation to schedule.
Most new patients are seen within days of their request, not weeks or months. Availability changes, so reaching out sooner secures a better choice of times.

Book a free 15-minute callADHD does not resolve on its own. The missed deadlines, the strained relationships, the years of quiet self-doubt are still there next month and next year unless something changes. Effective treatment can start changing that within weeks.
Clarity Health PLLC is a private-pay practice and cannot provide healthcare services to individuals whose coverage is through a federal healthcare program. That includes Medicare, Medicare Advantage and other Medicare replacement plans, Medicaid, Medicaid managed care and Medicaid HMO plans, TRICARE, CHIP, and VA coverage.
This is a credentialing restriction, not a billing preference. It applies even if you would prefer to pay out of pocket, and it is not something that can be waived by signing a form. Please check your coverage before booking so neither of us wastes a visit.
ADHD coaching is not affected by any of this. Coaching is not a healthcare service, is never billed to any insurer, and is provided through Thrive in Healthcare Coaching as a separate entity. It is available to anyone, on any coverage or none at all, anywhere in the country.
So if a federal program is your coverage, coaching is still open to you. Reach out either way and I will also point you toward clinical providers in the area who are able to see you.
